For everyone; no dance or yoga experience necessary.
Dance into the new year in a sacred community of celebrants, following the lead of body and breath. Sacred dance is one of the most ancient, transformative rituals. From whirling dervishes to the Shakers, people have danced for joy, for cleansing, and for clarity. As the old year draws to a close, come sweat, let go of the past, and make space for a new beginning.
No dance or yoga experience is required, just a willingness to
- Explore ecstatic movement and deep stillness
- Get fully into your body
- Cleanse from your core through your pores
- Free and refresh the mind
- Rely on your body’s wisdom to inform your new direction.
Through an alchemical combination of movement, relaxation, meditation, guided visualization, and journaling, you gain clarity about the past year’s journey and how to intuit your way forward. A New Year’s Eve dance party culminates in a ritual celebration anchoring your new intentions and, on New Year’s Day, a community blessing affirms your re-energized relationship with yourself, your work, and your dharma.
Note Please bring festive, comfortable clothing (layers are recommended), a journal, and two small objects from nature.
