Registration

When you come to Kripalu, you come for a program experience. Prices are a combination of tuition for your program plus a housing and meals fee that includes your accommodations and meals as well as daily yoga and Kripalu YogaDance® and use of our facility during your stay—sauna, fitness room, lakefront beach, hiking trails, and more. Pricing varies based on the type of housing you select.

Arrival

Surrounded by 300 beautiful acres, Kripalu sits on a hilltop, with exquisite views of surrounding woodlands, hills, valleys, and the serene Lake Mahkeenac.

Check-In

Check-in begins at 2:15 pm. Have your photo ID, credit card, license plate details, and this signed waiver ready when you arrive at the Front Desk. Your accommodations are guaranteed available by 4:00 pm. Most programs begin at 7:30 pm. There is an optional Welcome Session on Friday and Sunday at 6:45 pm. You are also welcome to attend the 4:15 pm Kripalu Yoga classes.

Arrival Dinner

Your meals begin with dinner on your arrival day. Sundays through Thursdays, dinner is served from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, and Fridays and Saturdays from 5:00 to 7:30. If you will be arriving within 15 minutes of meal end times, you may want to make other arrangements for dinner.

Late Check-In

If you arrive after 10:00 pm, please enter through the main entrance on the north side of the building.

Departure

Programs generally end by 11:30 am on the last day, and lunch is included in your stay. Room check-out is at noon.

What to Bring

Make your stay more comfortable.

  • Comfortable clothing for yoga and movement
  • Slip-on shoes for indoors and shared bathrooms
  • Walking/hiking shoes for outdoors and hiking trails
  • Sneakers for fitness room and classes
  • Hair dryer, if you use one, as well as shampoo and toiletries
  • Water bottle, sunglasses, hat, and sunscreen
  • Winter: snowshoes or cross-country ski equipment
  • Summer: bathing suit, water shoes, and large towel or sheet for lakefront beach.

Note The men's and women's sauna and women's whirlpool are bathing suit optional.

Provided… Bedding, towels, and an alarm clock are provided in each room. We also provide blankets, yoga sticky mats, ties, and yoga blocks for yoga classes.

Payment and Cancellations

Payment

Full payment is due at time of registration and can be made with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover.

Personal checks and money orders (U.S. dollars): Full payment must be received prior to processing your registration. Please call Registrations at 866.200.5203 to arrange. There is a $20 charge for checks returned due to insufficient funds.


Program and Kripalu R&R Cancellations

Payments made will be refunded in full (less a $50 processing fee) if you cancel 14 or more days prior to your arrival date. If you cancel between 13 days and 1 day in advance, a nonrefundable credit (less a $50 processing fee) will be held for one year from the date of issue. No credit or refund is available if you cancel on your arrival day, if you do not show up, or if you leave a program or event early.

Kripalu reserves the right to cancel any program at any time. In this event, you will be given a complete refund.

For transportation: A full refund is available if you cancel at least three days in advance. No refund is available if less than three days notice is given. Please contact Registrations for rates and to register. You must preregister at least 48 hours in advance for the regularly scheduled shuttle; it runs Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.


Kripalu Schools Payment, Refund, and Cancellation Policies

Payment Policy
To reserve program space and housing, 50% of the total program cost (tuition and housing or commuter fee) is due at the time of registration. The remaining balance of each session is due five days before the program start date.

Refund and Cancellation Policy
Refunds (less a $50 processing fee) will be given according to the following schedule: for cancellations two or more days prior to the start of the program, 100 percent of monies paid will be refunded. Less than two days prior to and up to completion of 25 percent of the program, 75 percent of the program cost will be refunded. Up to completion of 50 percent of the program, 50 percent of the program cost will be refunded. Up to completion of 75 percent of the program, 25 percent of the program cost will be refunded. No other refunds or credits are available. The standard cancellation policy applies to all other charges.

Notes on Terms

  • For programs offered in two 12-day sessions in which both parts are required for program completion, program cost refers to the total cost of both program parts. Refunds are based on full program length (24 days not 12 days), according to the terms of the cancellation policy above.
  • For other programs with multiple modules, program cost is determined based on one module at a time. Program start date refers to the start of each module.

CEC Cancellation Policy

Continuing Education payments will be refunded in full if you cancel 14 or more days prior to your arrival date. If you cancel less than 14 days before your arrival date, or you do not show up, you will not be eligible for a refund or credit.


Healing Arts Cancellation and Sick Policy

Cancellation Policy You may cancel or change your appointment time up to 24 hours in advance of your treatment. For changes or cancellations less than 24 hours in advance, you will be charged a 50 percent forfeiture fee. If you fail to show up for your treatment, the full charge will apply.

Sick Policy In order to protect the health and well-being of our guests and practioners, we reserve the right to cancel appointments due to your illness. If you are experiencing symptoms of a cold, flu, or other contagious condition, please inform Scheduling as soon as possible. Same day cancellation fees may apply.
