Kripalu’s safety guidelines and protocols were created in full compliance with the Centers for Disease Control and the state of Massachusetts. The health, safety, and protection of our guests, faculty, and staff is our top priority. 

We will be monitoring all updates to federal, state, and local guidelines on a daily basis. We anticipate these guidelines listed here to evolve. Check back for updates.


In compliance with Massachusetts travel guidelines, all guests will be required to show proof of vaccination OR a Covid-19 test that produced negative results within 72 hours of arrival. Guests will be asked a series of health questions and to sign a waiver at check-in.

All Kripalu staff are either required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or participate in a weekly testing pool.


Face masks are required for all guests, employees, and faculty while on campus for indoor activities (including all yoga and movement classes). Face coverings are not required while outdoors, while eating or drinking, or while in private accommodations.


  • Kripalu will be open to registered day and overnight guests only. Reservations are required prior to your arrival on campus. Currently, we are unable to accommodate walk-ins for the Dining Hall, Healing Arts, Shop, and Cafe. Additionally, individual meals are not available for purchase.
  • Kripalu will be closed each week from 2:00 pm Sunday until 2:00 pm Tuesday. Guests will not be permitted entry to the building between these times.
  • All accommodations will be single occupancy unless you are registering with someone with whom you will share a room. No dormitory or other shared rooms will be available.
  • Masks are required for all front desk staff.
  • Shuttle service to campus is not currently available.


  • We have recently upgraded HVAC systems in many of our core program rooms and the dining room and are continually evaluating ongoing improvements.
  • Yoga mats, blocks, and straps are provided in program rooms. Guests are asked to wiped down props after use. 
  • Hand sanitizer will be provided for guests and faculty before and after each session.
  • The Fitness Room, Hot Tub, Saunas, Private Yoga, and Meditation Rooms will remain closed until further notice.


  • The Dining Hall will only be open to registered guests and Kripalu staff. Individual meals are not available for purchase. 
  • To minimize touch points within the Dining Hall, we will be offering a hybrid of self and cafeteria-style service. 
  • Face masks are required to be worn by all guests and staff within the Dining Hall and Cafe except when eating or drinking at their table.


  • Healing Arts will be operating with reduced hours, offering a selection of our most popular bodywork, energy work, Ayurveda, and facial treatments in person.
  • Appointments are required to be scheduled in advance to ensure availability. Walk-in appointments are currently suspended.


  • The Shop is open for registered guests only—we are unable to accommodate walk-ins—and will be operating with reduced hours.


Kripalu uses cleaning products that meet EPA guidelines and are effective against viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens. Our cleaning practices exceed Massachusetts State requirements. We keep daily cleaning logs, which are inspected regularly by management.

Common Areas: There will be an increased frequency of cleaning and sanitizing in all public spaces with an emphasis on frequently touched surfaces.

Guest Rooms: There will be no housekeeping services during your stay. Rooms will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to your arrival, with particular attention to high-touch items.


General Cancellation Policy: Payments made will be refunded in full (less a $50 processing fee) if canceled 8 or more days prior to your arrival date. If you cancel between 7 days and one day in advance, a nonrefundable credit to your Kripalu account (less a $50 processing fee) will be held for one year from the date of issue. No credit or refund is available if you cancel on your arrival day, do not show up, or leave a program, event, or accommodation early.

Healing Arts Cancellation Policy: Payment is taken at the time of booking and is fully refundable for rescheduling and cancellations up to 24 hours before your service. Rescheduling or canceling treatments within 24 hours will be refunded at 50% of the treatment price as credit on account. No shows will be charged 100% of the cost of treatment. If you need to reschedule or cancel your Healing Arts treatment within 24 hours due to illness resulting in rescheduling, canceling, or leaving your visit to Kripalu early, Healing Arts will waive the cancellation fee.
