Join Us On Campus

Updated November 7, 2022

The health, safety, and well-being of our guests, faculty, and staff are our top priority. We continue to closely monitor Covid-19 and other health issues and have updated our protocols and guidelines in accordance with the CDC and state and local governments. Please visit this page regularly for updates as our guidelines may evolve or change.

BEFORE ARRIVAL

  • Kripalu does not currently require proof of vaccination or a negative test for guests with the exception of:
    • Guests staying in dormitories.
    • Guests participating in a Kripalu Schools training program.
  • For your personal safety and that of our community, we encourage all guests to monitor for symptoms of Covid-19 and other illnesses before your visit.
  • If you are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, we ask you to take a home test before arrival. If you test positive before your arrival, contact our registrations team who will work with you to reschedule your visit.

ON CAMPUS

  • Masks are not required in the main building, dining hall, shop, or program/yoga rooms. However, we encourage guests to monitor and manage their own personal health and safety and mask accordingly.
Note Depending on program needs, masks may be required for specific programs inside the room.
  • Masks are required during Healing Arts Treatments.
  • If a guest experiences symptoms of Covid-19 while on campus or tests positive, they will be required to leave the campus.
    • If a guest tests positive during their retreat, they must leave Kripalu. Guests required to leave due to a positive Covid-19 test will be eligible for a credit on account valid for 1 year from date of issue for the portion missed due to early departure.

CLEANING & SANITIZATION PRACTICES

  • There are no housekeeping services in guest rooms during your stay. Rooms are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before your arrival.
  • Kripalu uses cleaning products that meet EPA guidelines and are effective against viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens. Our cleaning practices exceed Massachusetts State requirements.
  • We have upgraded HVAC systems in many of our core program rooms and the dining room.

DORMITORY HOUSING

Regardless of vaccination status, guests staying in dormitories must show proof of a negative test taken within 48 hours upon arrival.

KRIPALU SCHOOLS

Kripalu has specific protocols for students participating in extended on campus Schools training programs:

  • All Schools students are required to test within 48 hours prior to arrival. If you test positive, you will not be able to attend the Kripalu Schools training, and a full refund will be given.
  • While on campus, students should plan to test each week of their program and bring rapid home tests accordingly.
    • If you test positive during your training you must leave Kripalu. In this case, you will be eligible for a modified Kripalu Schools cancelation policy: a prorated credit on account toward a future training for the portion missed due to early departure and valid for 1 year from date of issue.
    • If a classmate tests positive, all students in the training will be required to take a rapid test and if negative, still mask for five days before testing again.
    • Once the entire group has tested negative five days out, masks are no longer required, if no symptoms are present.
    • Masks are required, even with a negative Covid-19 test, if symptoms of active infection arise during the training.

CANCELLATION POLICIES

General Cancellation Policy: Payments made will be refunded in full (less a $50 processing fee) if canceled 15 or more days prior to your arrival date. If you cancel between 14 days and one day in advance, a nonrefundable credit to your Kripalu account (less a $50 processing fee) will be held for one year from the date of issue. No credit or refund is available if you cancel on your arrival day, do not show up, leave a program, event, or accommodation early and if you arrive on campus with symptoms of active infection. If a guest tests positive for Covid-19 during their retreat they must leave Kripalu. Guests required to leave due to a positive Covid-19 test will be eligible for a credit on account valid for 1 year from date of issue for the portion missed due to early departure.

Healing Arts Cancellation Policy: Payment is taken at the time of booking and is fully refundable for rescheduling and cancellations up to 24 hours before your service. Rescheduling or canceling treatments within 24 hours will be refunded at 50% of the treatment price as credit on account. No shows will be charged 100% of the cost of treatment. If you need to leave your Day or Overnight stay early due to illness, Kripalu will waive the cancellation fee for Healing Arts treatments canceled within 24 hours.
