As a nonprofit educational center, we require all program participants to have housing to attend onsite programming. The pricing for overnight stays is divided into separate housing and tuition fees. Housing costs cover your room, access to the grounds, facility use and meals. While tuition covers programming costs. For multi-day program participants who prefer not to stay at Kripalu, a commuter fee is required to support access to our facilities and grounds.

To enhance your retreat experience, rooms at Kripalu offer a minimalist, peaceful design free from distractions (no televisions, telephones, etc.). Guest room rates are subject to change. All pricing is based on the number of adults (ages 18 and over), youth (ages 5–17), and children (ages 0–4).

All rooms are private unless your reservation includes multiple people, except for Dormitory housing. Dormitory rooms are shared accommodations, featuring bunk beds and shared hallway bathrooms, designed to host 5–22 people and provide an opportunity to connect with others.

Please note that Kripalu is a smoke-free campus. Smoking of any kind (cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vaping, etc.) is prohibited on campus, including in guest rooms. Violations of this policy will result in a fine.

Economy rooms offer an affordable option with limited availability.

Situated in the eco-friendly Annex, a newer building connected to Shadowbrook, these rooms feature temperature control and a private bathroom. Each Annex room includes an in-room safe. Learn more about the environmentally friendly Annex.

Dormitory housing provides an opportunity to connect with others in a shared room for 5–22 people with bunk beds and access to shared hallway bathrooms. Each dorm bed includes an alarm clock, reading light, and a safe for valuables. Please note that lower bunks cannot be guaranteed, so if you cannot use an upper bunk, please select another housing option. Dorm housing sells out quickly; please register early. 

Dorms are available in three options: men’s, women’s, and gender expansive.

We have created Gender Expansive dorms to provide a sense of belonging and community for trans, nonbinary, and genderqueer/gender non-conforming guests, as well as LGBTQIA+ guests and allies. Guests selecting Gender Expansive dorms agree to create a welcoming environment for guests of any gender identity.

For those not staying overnight, the Kripalu Commuter Pass fulfills our onsite housing requirement. This pass covers meals and access to our amenities, ensuring a complete retreat experience.

COMMUTER PASS RATES

Students attending as part of a school program receive a 10% discount on available housing and commuter rates (excluding economy rooms).

1.    Determine the number of weekend nights (Friday, Saturday, and some Sundays) 
2.    Determine the number of weekday nights 
3.    Multiply the weekend nights by room rate and weekday nights by room rate. Add together.
