Explore IFS Theory and Techniques

Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy is a transformational approach to healing the systems of even our most traumatized clients. Its compassion-based, empirically validated techniques offer a safe and effective way to address a wide range of clinical concerns, while offering therapists the gift of working in a way that increases personal well-being.

Join internationally renowned, certified IFS lead trainer, Dr. Alexia Rothman, for a brand-new IFS immersion retreat experience in the heart of the Berkshires. This experiential retreat will allow you to dive deeply into an exploration of IFS theory and techniques and give you the opportunity to:

  • Understand your own internal system through the lens of multiplicity and IFS theory.
  • Connect with parts of you that have taken on protective roles in your system.
  • Observe and volunteer for live IFS therapy demonstrations.
  • Participate in guided experiences that invite connection with your internal world.
  • Practice techniques designed to help you access your inner wisdom and healing energy.
  • If you are a therapist, you will learn how to apply IFS theory and techniques in your clinical practice.

There will be ample free time to enjoy healthy meals, connect with fellow participants, and immerse yourself in the healing power of nature.

NOTE: This retreat is open to anyone (therapists and non-therapists) who is interested in learning and experiencing the IFS model. It is ideal for those newer to the model, as it offers a thorough grounding in the fundamental theory and techniques of IFS, as well as opportunities to connect experientially with one's own internal system.
