Tend to the Tender Places

This retreat is for all who identify as caregivers. You might be a therapist, nurse, teacher, doctor, social worker, or healer. You might be an activist, chaplain, or individual supporting someone through illness, recovery, or grief.

You might be the one holding your family or community together—the open-hearted friend, the steady partner, or the adult child caring for an aging parent. You might be the one others turn to—at work, at home, in moments of crisis and calm.

Caregiving is a sacred act of love. But when it goes uninterrupted, it can quietly lead to depletion, disconnection, and invisibility. You may feel it as burnout, as grief, or as an ache in your jaw, a clenching in your chest, or a blank page where your words used to be.

Led by author and Narrative Healing™ founder Lisa Weinert—alongside a distinguished faculty of experts including Dr. Suzanne Koven, Dr. Eddie Phillips, Crystal McCreary, and Celia Hilson—this weekend immersion offers a sanctuary of reflection, rest, and creative replenishment.

This retreat is an invitation to tend to the tender places. Through trauma-informed writing, gentle movement, and deep listening, you’ll process what’s been carried and reconnect with your voice and body. You’ll leave not only replenished but equipped—with rituals and sustainable practices to support your care, long after the weekend ends. Most of all, you’ll find belonging in a circle that sees you—not just for what you carry, but for who you are.

In this offering, you will experience:

  • Narrative Healing™ writing sessions to process, integrate, and reclaim your story
  • Restorative movement and yoga to soothe and regulate your nervous system
  • Mindfulness and lifestyle strategies to support resilience and sustainable care
  • Rituals and reflection to create space for boundaries, grief, and joy
  • A compassionate community of caregivers who understand what it means to hold others—and are ready to hold space for you

No prior writing or yoga experience is needed. Just bring your breath, your body, and your story—exactly as you are.

This immersion is open to caregivers of all kinds—professional and personal, visible and unseen.

Note: Please bring a journal or notebook and comfortable clothing for writing, movement, and rest.
