- The fundamentals of guiding Kripalu Yoga
- The principles and practices of Kripalu Yoga’s 21 foundational asanas
- Introductory anatomy and physiology applied to asana
- Fundamentals of yoga’s rich philosophical traditions
- How to make your class adaptable and accessible
- Techniques to guide students in developing nonjudgmental self-awareness and self-compassion
- Skills for designing well-rounded classes with a balance of warm-ups, asanas, pranayama, relaxation, and meditation.
This three-month hybrid training will also look at yoga’s long history within communities of color so that you can:
- Expand your knowledge of cultural voices that are a part of yoga’s past and present environment
- Build your confidence as a BIPOC teacher, locating yourself within yoga’s broad lineage
- Develop BIPOC-related resources and community to support your teaching well after the training has ended.
You will emerge from this training with the tools, foundational skills, and knowledge to develop a teaching practice that can be impactful to a wide variety of communities, populations, and environments.
