MARROW
An emergent experience of aliveness and connection
Connect to Your Inner Landscape
MARROW—like the life-giving and potent marrow of our bones—is a generative experience of unearthing aliveness. It is a process of unlearning patterns of thinking, feeling, and moving that have been forged unconsciously over time, and often from outside messages. In this repatterning together through embodied presence and connection, there are invitations into quiet internal explorations, meaningful conversations and listening, personal writing, flows of creativity, sensory movement, and meditation for waking up to our whole human experience.
Through a weave of somatics (body sensing and process), embodiment (presence of the layers of mind, heart, and body), and meditation (in both movement and stillness), we integrate qualities of the living we are in, and out of the push of doing. Together, we forge a path connecting our inner landscapes with belonging—in community and within the natural world.
This program offers a pathway for processing and integrating our lived experience through non-verbal, sensory pathways. It is a way of waking up to ourselves, sensing our inner rhythms, and being with grief, joy, and everything in between.
In this program, you will experience:
- Guided movement flows for all bodies and everybody, drawn from dance, martial arts, Feldenkrais, and more
- Somatic sensory movement for learning to listen through and with our bodies
- Guided meditation, in supported laying and sitting, and walking meditation indoors and outdoors
- Forest bathing and an embodied exploration of connection with the natural world
- Creative mark-making on paper with paints
- Personal writing, reflection, and sharing
- Rest, as a part of the process of honoring our bodies and remembering the dignity of rest
You will emerge from MARROW feeling embodied, present, and connected with a greater sense of belonging.
NOTE: No experience with somatics, movement, or meditation is needed to join us. All adults 20+ years of age are welcome. This program is facilitated through a trauma-sensitive approach. The final evening includes an energizing, celebratory movement party.
