Pershlie "Perci" Ami is a member of the Hopi Tribe from the Village of Walpi, Az. As a Hopi Elder, coming from a marginalized community, Perci overcame the social, educational, and economical challenges, and has used her struggles and experiences to help others overcome barriers just as she has.
Perci has served as a strong advocate for suicide prevention, substance abuse, and devoting her time to stand strong to be an example to her elder community. Perci is associated with grandmother groups that travel the world to share wisdom. Her purpose is to share traditional beliefs and stories to help Indigenous people connect and focus on healing the mind, body, and spirit.
Perci received the World Federation for World Peace USA, Her story Award for her work in Native communities. She also received the Marcus Harrison Jr. Leadership Award for her effort in advocating for Indigenous people with disabilities. Perci played the lead role in the movie Touch the Water. Her greatest accomplishment is as an Author .She loves to write and has written many short stories and motivational card. As a coauthor with Anthony Goulet their book Broken Home, Healed Nest has been honor as 2026 most inspirational book.
