Rabbi Shefa Gold

Rabbi Shefa Gold, a leader in ALEPH: Alliance for Jewish Renewal, is director of the Center for Devotional Energy and Ecstatic Practice in Jemez Springs, New Mexico. She composes and performs spiritual music, has produced 10 albums, and her liturgies have been published in several new prayer books. She leads workshops and retreats on the theory and art of chanting, devotional healing, spiritual community-building, and meditation, is a resource faculty for the Institute for Jewish Spirituality, and a fellow for the National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership’s Rabbis without Borders. Her project, SOULIFT, is a weeklong immersion in spiritual practice designed to lift us into the Soul perspective. Shefa is the author of Torah Journeys: The Inner Path to the Promised Land; In the Fever of Love: An Illumination of the Song of Songs ;Are We There Yet? Travel as a Spiritual Practice; and The Magic of Hebrew Chant: Healing the Spirit, Transforming the Mind, Deepening Love.
