Vice President of Institutional Advancement

Kathy Durivage has 30 years of experience working in advancement at educational  and non-profit organizations and as a small business owner and executive director. She was most recently the head of advancement at the Emma Willard School in Troy, New York, where she partnered with the head of school and board of trustees to set the overall strategic direction for the advancement operation and increased overall annual giving by 22%. Previous to that, Kathy was at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for 13 years where, reporting directly to the president, she was part of a team of three that managed an advancement staff of over 70. She also acted as chief advancement officer to the president helping to secure some of the largest gifts to the school.  At RPI, Kathy’s team increased cash gifts by 29% and laid the foundation for a $1.2B campaign.

Kathy has found much personal growth through her own yoga practice. She is a certified yoga instructor through Heartspace Yoga & Healing Arts, and is a certified holistic health counselor/nutritionist through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Kathy holds a degree in Marketing and Business through Skidmore College. She and her husband, Ken, live in Delmar, New York, and are anxiously awaiting the birth of their 12th grandchild—a boy!
