Holly McCormack
Chief Learning Officer
Holly McCormack, Kripalu's Chief Learning Officer, oversees the development of Kripalu faculty and curriculum across Kripalu Schools and guest programs, as well as ensures that the principles of yoga philosophy are continually strengthened within staff culture and hospitality services. Holly rejoined Kripalu in April 2022 after having previously held several roles from 2004–2010, including Director of Kripalu Schools and Director of the Institute for Integrated Leadership.
Her background in education consists of additional college leadership positions including Dean for Career Development at Kenyon College—where she was responsible for designing its strategic approach to career education—and Dean of Field Work Term and Career Development at Bennington College—where she oversaw the integration of a flagship experiential work term into a liberal arts curriculum. She also served as executive director of The Goldie Hawn Foundation, helping to bring its signature mindfulness and SEL program to some of the largest school districts in the United States. Prior to Holly’s return to Kripalu, she was Chief Strategy Officer for the national nonprofit BrainFutures, where she oversaw advocacy and awareness campaigns aimed at advancing access to proven innovations in brain fitness and mental health treatment. Holly coauthored BrainFutures’ seminal issue brief, Brain Fitness and Executive Function: Evidence-Based Interventions to Improve Student Outcomes, was editor-in-chief for Neurofeedback: An Efficacious Treatment for Behavioral Health and Psychedelic Medicine: A Review of Clinical Research for a Class of Rapidly-Emerging Behavioral Health Interventions, and coraised more than $2 million for policy initiatives related to psychedelic-assisted therapy research and healthcare adoption. She also was coauthor of the Kennedy Forum’s 2015 brief Promoting Brain Health and Brain Fitness: A National Call for Action.
Holly continues to write and consult on topics of brain fitness, holistic education, experiential learning, and purposeful work, and she brings the intersection of these areas of expertise to her position at Kripalu.
