Black History and Black Futures

Celebrating Black History Month allows us a moment to reflect on the regenerative community efforts we contribute to all year long, including: how we care for and listen to communities of color within our own staff, guest and presenter populations, our thoughtful programming and marketing, and how we reduce barriers to financial and geographic access to all that Kripalu has to offer.

It is the work we do year-round that allows us to celebrate Black History and Black Futures in February with pride.

MLK

Celebrating the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

This MLK Day, Jan 19, join us for a free online event guided by Maya Breuer, Reggie Hubbard, and Kiesha Battles. The program is themed in alignment with The King Center 2026, Mission Impossible II: Building Community and Uniting a Nation the Non-Violent Way.

Join for a welcoming tribute and Dharma talk with Maya followed by a Sonic Tonic: Soundbath featuring Still & Mindful Movement co-led by Reggie and Kiesha, and a closing community circle.

The idea is “to increase the healing of the collective by exposing communities of color to the amazing nutritional, spiritual, topographical and energetic blessings of Kripalu, and to expose the greater Kripalu ecosystem to the alchemical impact of joy and healing out loud in community."
