Coronavirus Updates

Update from Kripalu

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that, due to health and safety concerns related to COVID-19, the Kripalu campus is closed and all in-person programs, events, and experiences are canceled.

Updated January 19, 2021

Dear Kripalu Community,

The first thing I want to say on behalf of myself and everyone at Kripalu is that our thoughts are with you. We hope that you and your loved ones remain safe and well. Like many of you, we have been trying to do what we can to support each other and the larger community to navigate this challenging time. All of the actions and decisions over these last few weeks have been firmly rooted in our values. Guided by our mission as a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational institution, we have acted for the well-being of our staff, guests, and neighbors.

It is with a heavy heart that I announce that, due to health and safety concerns related to COVID-19, we have made a decision not to reopen the Kripalu campus in 2020 or early 2021. This means that all programs at the retreat center will be canceled this year.

Please know that we are still here for you, and that Kripalu’s mission of retreat and empowerment remains constant. It is our intention to turn the unique challenges ahead into transformative opportunities for Kripalu, for you, and for the world.

We will continue to bring as many programs and trainings online as possible so that we may still serve you in honor of our dedication as a learning institution.

Together, we’ll evolve to address our community’s needs. We will welcome a way of connecting in a new world, one that asks for us to come together in solidarity with love and compassion. Your support will be essential to Kripalu’s plan to weather this crisis and reopen the center.

If you can, please consider donating today. We need your help now, and the impact of your gift will be doubled, thanks to a dollar-for-dollar matching challenge up to $150,000 from a generous donor.

Whether or not you’re in a position to donate, we are grateful for the love and energy that you share with Kripalu and our community.

We recognize that in every crisis there is an opportunity for transformation and growth. While this is one of the hardest things for an organization and its people to live through, we know that we will emerge strengthened and ready to serve. As we look to the path ahead, we take heart in the resilience of our community.

With the deepest respect, honor, and appreciation,

Robert Mulhall
Acting Kripalu CEO
