Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health Appoints Robert Mulhall as CEO

ROBERT MULHALL HAS BEEN APPOINTED AS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Robert Mulhall brings two decades of experience in diverse industries, including public health, leadership development, and education, finance, organizational consulting, and executive coaching. 

Stockbridge, MA. May 4, 2021 –  Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, North America’s leading yoga retreat center, today announced that Robert Mulhall has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Mulhall, who joined Kripalu as Vice President of Programming and Business Strategy in 2019, has served as Acting CEO since January 2021. As CEO, Mulhall’s priority will be overseeing the implementation of Kripalu’s new Strategic Vision, including the re-opening of Kripalu’s Retreat Center and continued development of its online programming.

His decades of experience combined with his calm and thoughtful presence have guided Kripalu to continue to support our community during this period of the global pandemic. As we look ahead to the future, the Board is confident in Robert’s leadership in this new era for Kripalu.”

Mulhall led the development of Kripalu’s online offerings that to date have delivered more than 170 programs to over 10,000 individuals around the world. Additionally, in collaboration with former CEO Dr. Barbara Vacarr and the Board of Trustees, developed a new Strategic Vision to direct the organization’s path forward. Prior to his role as Acting CEO, Robert oversaw Programming, Business Strategy, Marketing, Guest Services, and Production. Before his time at Kripalu, Robert spent two decades in leadership roles in the non-profit and for-profit sectors. Born and raised in Ireland, he spent his early career in accounting and finance with PricewaterhouseCoopers before shifting to focus on human leadership and development. Robert received numerous awards as a social entrepreneur prior to moving to India to lead innovative global health programming in partnership with UNICEF, the Gates Foundation and the Government of India, Malawi, Sierra Leone, Kenya, and Ghana. Before joining Kripalu, Mulhall was working globally as an executive coach and organizational consultant. He is a lifelong meditation practitioner and a Kripalu certified yoga teacher. Robert lives in Stockbridge with his wife Joanna and their 3-year old son Elijah.
