Teachings for Modern Life

Living with purpose brings alignment, fulfillment, clarity, and inner peace. It can deepen your relationships, build resilience, and lead to a more meaningful, satisfying life. And yet, discovering and living that purpose isn’t always easy—in fact, it can feel confusing, overwhelming, and even provoke what psychologists now call “purpose anxiety.”

Rooted in the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita, a revered spiritual text often translated as “The Song of God,” this program offers a powerful, accessible pathway to reconnecting with your dharma, or soul’s calling. Though ancient, the teachings of the Gita speak directly to the challenges and choices of modern life.

This program draws inspiration from Stephen Cope’s beloved book, The Great Work of Your Life, which illuminates the Gita’s teachings through the lens of real lives lived with purpose. With this as a foundation, join Kripalu teacher Ilana Beigel for an inspiring and heartfelt journey into the heart of purpose.

Through lecture, discussion, guided meditation, reflection, and experiential practices, you will:

  • Explore karma yoga, the yoga of conscious action.
  • Reconnect with your dharma and what you’re uniquely here to do.
  • Gain tools and insights to support your path forward.
  • Pause, reflect, and realign with what truly matters.

Past participants describe leaving this retreat feeling inspired, grounded, clear, connected, aligned, and deeply renewed—ready to live with greater authenticity and intention.

No prior experience is needed. Just bring a journal and an open mind.
