Bio

Cat Lynch Capowski is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 300), Medical Qi Gong and Five Element Qi Gong Teacher, Morning Altars Certified Teacher/Guide, Ayurvedic Mental Health and Wellness Coach, and Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist. She has spent more than three decades working as a social worker, supporting individuals, groups, and family systems through healing, transition, recovery, and personal growth.

Cat’s personal practice of yoga, Qi Gong, meditation, coherent breathing, and mindfulness deeply informs both her life and her work. For many years, she has integrated mind-body practices into clinical social work and life coaching, helping others regulate their nervous systems, cultivate resilience, and develop sustainable tools for stress management and emotional well-being.

She specializes in supporting individuals in recovery from addiction, as well as those seeking integrative approaches to mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual healing. Cat also facilitates mindfulness-based grief support groups and works individually with people navigating grief and loss. Students and clients often describe her presence as grounding, compassionate, and deeply supportive, noting her ability to create safe, welcoming, and accessible spaces for healing.

Through the lens of Ayurveda and aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Cat helps people reconnect with balance in body, mind, emotions, and spirit by exploring supportive daily routines and holistic wellness practices. She believes that humans are intimately connected to the natural world and that nature itself is an essential partner in healing.

At her practice, Catalyst Mindfulness, Cat offers life coaching, recovery coaching, mindfulness practices, yoga, Qi Gong, and nature-based therapeutic experiences. Her work with nature includes guided walks, forest bathing, and the creation of impermanent nature art as ritual practices for healing, reflection, resilience, and connection.

Cat’s approach is rooted in compassion, mindfulness, embodiment, and the wisdom of nature, supporting people in finding greater presence, balance, and wholeness in their lives.
