Bio
Chen Rosner Orbach, MA, C-IAYT, NBC-HWC has spent over two decades exploring the connection between body, brain, and mind—and learning, sometimes the hard way, how deeply they shape each other. Her journey began in 2001 at Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute in India, where she fell in love with yoga. She went on to become a senior Vijnana yoga teacher (800-hour YTT, 2007), a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT, 2021), and a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (2025). Academically, she holds an M.A. in cognitive science and a B.Sc. in computer science and cognitive science, and was pursuing a Ph.D. in neuroscience when, in 2015, a breast cancer diagnosis changed everything.
That experience, and a later recurrence, turned her professional focus into a personal calling. Since 2016, she has worked with cancer patients through group programs, individual sessions, and workshops, helping people find their way back to agency, meaning, and well-being after treatment. In 2019, her paper on the Kosha model in cancer care received an award at the Kaivalyadhama International Yoga Therapy Conference.
Chen brings both scientific rigor and the lived understanding of someone who has walked the path she teaches. She is continuing the work of the Beyond Cancer program in collaboration with its founder, Lee Majewski.
