Miki Vysohlid

Kripalu Faculty

Bio

Miki Vysohlid has been a Kripalu faculty member leading outdoor programs since 2023. She is a certified Kripalu Yoga teacher currently pursuing her 500-hour level certification. As an alumna of the Kripalu School of Mindful Outdoor Leadership (KSMOL), she is drawn to exploring “be real” outdoor experiences with guests—inward and intuitive—while weaving in breath, meditation, senses, and an expanded sense of space.

Whether guiding Yoga or outdoor programs, her offering is rooted in the embodied practice of Yoga as:
- A common human experience across cultures
- A pursuit of fully inhabiting one’s own body
- An inquiry into authentic self-expression

Originally from Japan, Miki brings an intercultural perspective shaped by her life experience in Japan, the United States, and Kenya. She is deeply interested in healing practices from around the world and how each culture expresses the connection between humans and the natural world.

As an outdoor enthusiast, she enjoys camping, hiking, cross-country skiing, and swimming in the
wilderness. She believes that connection with nature brings a wealth of wonders and wisdom, often revealed through metaphor.
