Alex Sabo

Alex Sabo, MD, a Kripalu-trained yoga teacher, is chair and program director of the department of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Berkshire Medical Center, clinical associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, past president of the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society, distinguished life fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and coeditor and contributing author to The Real World Guide to Psychotherapy Practice. He is coauthor of recent publications on a root cause analysis of prescription opioid overdoses and a randomized trial of cognitive behavioral therapy versus Kripalu Yoga to improve mental and physical health in mental health providers.
