Brandi Dean

Brandi Dean founded the Dean Center for Tick Borne Illness at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in 2015. Her personal experience as a young mother with Lyme disease led her to identify the need for a multidisciplinary center to treat, rehabilitate, and recover individuals suffering from persistent tick-borne illness. The goals of the Dean Center are to improve the care and function of patients with Lyme by focusing on compassionate and individualized care, ongoing education, and emerging and innovative science. Brandi has been a passionate advocate for people with Lyme since 2011 and her story has been featured in the Boston Globe, Good Housekeeping, and Wellesley Weston Magazine. Prior to her work in the field of Lyme disease, Brandi’s professional life included a four-year tour of duty in the United States Coast Guard.
