Claudia M. Gold

Claudia M. Gold, MD, is a pediatrician and writer. She has practiced pediatrics for more than 25 years and now specializes in early-childhood mental health. She currently works as a consultant at the Austen Riggs Center and offers parent-child consultations for infants and children at Volunteers in Medicine Berkshires. Claudia is the author of The Developmental Science of Early Childhood; The Silenced Child; and Keeping Your Child in Mind. She is on the faculty of the University of Massachusetts-Boston Infant-Parent Mental Health Program, the Berkshire Psychoanalytic Institute, and the Brazelton Institute.
