Dr. Romy Lauche

Dr. Romy Lauche is deputy director of research at the National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine at Southern Cross University and oversees the newly established Clinical Trials Centre, which conducts commercial clinical trials. With a background and qualifications in psychology and medical sciences, Romy has acquired profound methodological knowledge and skills in clinical research and trial design, quantitative and qualitative research, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and public health research.

Romy is also experienced at analyzing large datasets and leading/conducting complex research projects. To date, she has published nearly 200 peer-reviewed journal articles and several book chapters. Romy’s primary research focus is dedicated to self-care—a subject that deeply ignites her passion. This concentration encompasses yoga, tai chi, and other affordable, and accessible interventions aimed at prevention and chronic disease management. Her research has recently extended into partner-delivered and community-care models, exploring opportunities for citizen science projects in complementary medicine.
