Emiliano Garcia

Emiliano Garcia leads call-and-response, sing-along meditations designed to blur the line between audience and performer so that listeners become cocreators by simply singing along. Through a chance collaboration with a Taoist monk playing shakuhachi flute as a form of active meditation, Emiliano began cultivating his own personal method of playing music as a form of meditation. Inspired by kirtan, gospel, quawali, R&B, folk music, pop music, and more, most of Emiliano’s original compositions serve dual functions as secular love songs and interfaith hymns of devotion. Before finding his way to the world of interfaith kirtan, Emiliano spent more than 15 years as a professional saxophonist, arranger, and composer.
