Iana Velez

Iana Velez is the founder and editor-in-chief of Yoga Love Magazine, the only Latina-owned, independently-published, nationally-distributed print magazine celebrating yoga, wellness, art, and culture. She is also coproducer of SOULFest, a national yoga and wellness festival that celebrates diversity, accessibility, and community. SOULFest NYC is the only free festival that includes Spanish/bilingual yoga in its programming as a tribute to the city’s Hispanic community and Iana’s family.

Iana has a bachelor's degree in art history and an MFA in film from University of Southern California. She has worked internationally as an art director for over 20 years in television, film, and print. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher certification from Nosara Yoga Institute in 2008.
