Jurian Hughes, E-RYT 500, YACEP, MFA, senior Kripalu faculty for two decades, is a transformational teacher of yoga, dance, and voice. Known for her natural joy, authenticity, and candor, Jurian is a gifted presenter who has trained more than 1,000 Kripalu Yoga teachers and scores of Let Your Yoga Dance® teachers. Prior to discovering her yoga vocation, Hughes enjoyed a long and successful theatre career, spanning Broadway, Off-Broadway, film, television, and voice-over. Her teaching skillfully weaves these two worlds together, leading experiences that promote profound self-compassion, free self-expression, courage, and confidence. 

Jurian holds a Bachelor’s degree from Williams College and a Master of Fine Arts from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. In addition to teaching, she is a voice coach, personal mentor, writer, activist, and international retreat leader. With her passionate, playful, and engaging style, Hughes hopes to help others find a path to embodied joy, which is her own north star. Find out more at jurianhughes.com.
