Laurie Helgoe

Laurie Helgoe, PhD, a clinical psychologist and educator with a special interest in the relationship between personality and culture, advocates for the recognition of introversion as a natural disposition that permits individuals to flourish creatively, work productively, and form meaningful relationships. She is author of the critically acclaimed Introvert Power: Why Your Inner Life Is Your Hidden Strength. Her most recent book is Fragile Bully: Understanding Our Destructive Affair with Narcissism in the Age of Trump. Laurie also authored the Psychology Today cover story “Revenge of the Introvert,” and has been quoted in several national and international publications, including Body+Soul, Parents, Psychologies, and Self. She is an associate professor of behavioral sciences at the Ross University School of Medicine.
