Mark T. Vande Hei

Colonel Mark T. Vande Hei, NASA astronaut, earned a BS from Saint John's University and a MS from Stanford University. In 2018, he and his crew helped NASA achieve a then record-setting week of research that surpassed 100 hours. In 2021, he extended that record for the longest single spaceflight in history by an American to 355 days, returning to Earth in March 2022. Colonel Vande Hei has spent a total of 523 days in space and 26 hours, 42 minutes conducting spacewalks.
