.O was certified in 1979 as a massage therapist and has made health and well-being her personal commitment and life purpose. As a community activist in North Philadelphia, she promotes social change addressing issues involving domestic violence, alcoholism, drug abuse, and economic injustice. She is instrumental in providing leadership in addressing environmental and social justice issues within the Greening Philadelphia movement. .O is a cofounder of a solar business called Serenity Soular that focuses on the care of people and our planet while moving in the direction of creating profit. She also worked in the field of medicine, teaching at Temple University as a patient instructor. As a team player, .O provides education to assist medical students in developing the clinical skills of interviewing and examining patients.
