
Polly Young-Eisendrath
Polly Young-Eisendrath, PhD, is a psychologist, speaker, Jungian analyst, and mindfulness teacher. She has published 15 books, including her most recent, The Present Heart: A Memoir of Love, Loss, and Discovery, a meditation on the healing power of love in the face of her husband’s early-onset Alzheimer’s. Polly came to psychology and Jungian training through Buddhist practice, taking formal Zen vows in 1971. She is optimistic about a new healing paradigm developing from the dialogue between Buddhism and psychoanalysis. Polly maintains a clinical practice in central Vermont.
