Rebecca Hines

Rebecca Hines encountered mindfulness through her first yoga teacher in 1993, who helped her discover the power of awareness available in the body, in every moment. A practitioner of vipassana meditation since 2000, Rebecca began teaching Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction in 2007. She now teaches with the Insight Meditation Community of Washington and is on the faculty of the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program.The goal of her practice is to create a continuity of awareness off and on the meditation cushion without distinction in order to more easily "dance" with life—the dance of work-life balance, relationships, health challenges, aging, and bringing wise action to the challenges facing the world.
