Sanovia Muhammad
Sanovia Muhammad, E-RYT, RNR, is an author, poet, community activist, and creator of MaYoni ‘aT Womb Yoga, a sequence grown out of her work with her daughter in the Ancient Art of Yoni Steaming with the Yoni Steam Institute. She is a graduate of the Kripalu School of Yoga and Shakti Yoga and has practiced yoga since 2005. In addition, Sanovia offers certification in MaYoni ‘aT Yoga, a sequence that highlights the Tekh (Sacral) and Kepera (Heart) Chakras. The practice highlights the Goddess energies of Ancient Kemet, utilizes words of power (Hekau’s), healing affirmations, and breath with movement. With more than 30 years in the field of wellness, she understands that womb health is women's work and womb yoga is an invaluable tool to assist in healing. Sanovia's book, A Journey to Forgiveness, Disowning 3 Generations of Violence is a story about pain, violence, love, and forgiveness. On the path of living, Sanovia's journey is one of peace, offering a balanced, compassionate, reciprocal, and harmonious way of being to all.
