Susan Bauer-Wu

Susan Bauer-Wu, PhD, RN, president of the Mind & Life Institute, began her career as a registered nurse caring for individuals with cancer and mental illness as well as those facing the end of life, followed by doctoral and post-doctoral training in psychoneuroimmunology and psycho-oncology. She has been teaching and studying mindfulness and compassion practices in healthcare and leading retreats and workshops for more than 20 years. In addition to dozens of professional and scholarly publications, Susan is the author of the book, Leaves Falling Gently: Living Fully with Serious & Life-Limiting Illness through Mindfulness, Compassion & Connectedness.
