Tamar Mendelson

Tamar Mendelson, PhD, is an associate professor in the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a licensed clinical psychologist. Her research addresses the development, evaluation, and implementation of prevention strategies to improve maternal and child mental health, with a focus on underserved urban populations. She is particularly interested in the potential of mindfulness and yoga to promote mental health. Tamar’s work includes studies to assess school-based yoga and mindfulness for students in the Baltimore (Maryland) City Public Schools.
