ONLINE YOGA TRAINING
Explore the multiple facets of mental health and how yoga can support a variety of conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, chronic stress, and addiction. Leaders in the field will be presenting
- Psychological concepts and terminology
- Common mental health conditions, symptoms, and interventions
- Specific applications of yoga as medicine
- Contraindications for specific conditions.
Through the expert leadership of Kripalu Faculty and mental health professionals, experience the tools of yoga to promote mental well-being. Learn from the experts how to assess and create a yoga wellness plan for a variety of mental health conditions pertinent in a group or individual yoga therapy session. Using case studies and experiential practice, students engage with the material through intellectual discourse and embodied learning.
This course is a five-week online program, fulfilling 75 contact hours. These hours can be applied to the 800-hour Professional Yoga Therapist Training Program accredited by the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
Prerequisite Integrative Yoga Therapy Foundations of Yoga Therapy Part 1 and Part 2; In-Depth Anatomy of Asana; and Practicum Immersion. Please note for cohorts that began prior to 2023, the prerequisite is Foundations of Yoga Therapy Part 1 and Part 2.
