Explore yoga therapy’s applications in the mental-health field. Each day focuses on a different facet of mental health, including depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, addiction recovery, and yoga in social work settings. Delivered by leaders in the field, each presentation outlines
- How yoga can be used to support treatment
- Specific applications that are most helpful
- Contraindications.
Through the expert leadership of Kripal Faculty and Mental Health Professionals experience the tools of yoga to promote mental well-being. Learn from the experts a variety of mental health conditions pertinent in a group or individual yoga therapy session. Using case studies and experiential practice, students engage with the material through intellectual discourse and embodied learning.
This course is a four-week online program, fulfilling 75 contact hours. These hours can be applied to the 800-hour Professional Yoga Therapist Training Program accredited by the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
Prerequisite Integrative Yoga Therapy Foundations of Yoga Therapy: Module 1
