Mary Northey

Mary Northey, RYT 500, Dean of the Kripalu School of Integrative Yoga Therapy, is a graduate of the Professional Integrative Yoga Therapist Training Program with Joseph Le Page and a certified teacher of Yoga of the Heart Cardiac and Cancer Program with Nischala Joy Devi. She teaches a variety of workshops and classes, including physical and emotional yoga for the heart, yoga for stress management, restorative yoga, and healing through deep relaxation, and also offers individual yoga therapy. Mary has practiced meditation since 1989 and believes meditation to be the core of her practice. She teaches skills and practices for approaching deep relaxation and self-inquiry as an important form of yoga therapy. Mary says, "I love the experiential components of the training, a direct way to embody and assimilate the material at all levels of being. We value the quality of svadhyaya (self-study), which is necessary in order to deliver an authentic yoga therapy session."
