Holding Space for Pregnancy Loss
Emerge with Powerful Healing Tools
Miscarriage. Stillbirth. Infant loss. Such experiences are deeply painful and transformative.
It is estimated that one in four pregnancies end in loss. How can we best hold space for bereaved parents? How can professionals who work with parents-to-be, such as prenatal yoga teachers, doulas, midwives, RNs, OBs, and lactation consultants, best prepare to hold space when grief and pregnancy meet?
For over a decade, this heart-centered training has strengthened and inspired thousands of birth workers, doulas, midwives, chaplains, and bereaved parents. Holding Space for Pregnancy Loss shifts the paradigm of our collective understanding of grief, pregnancy loss, and ritual.
Through an exploration of what it means to hold space, research-based best care practices, and a deep dive into the healing power of ritual (religious and secular), participants will emerge with powerful tools to support the integration of grief, both personal and professional. With ample time to reflect, move through gentle yoga poses, practice personal and collective ritual, and hold space for the broken-hearted experience of pregnancy and infant loss, this is a training not to miss.
