Return to Your Inner Light
The deeper wisdom of Diwali
Clarity, Courage, and Dharma
Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights, is celebrated with lamps, prayer, sacred stories, and the gathering of families. At its heart is the return of Rama and Sita to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile, welcomed home by a city illuminated with rows of lamps.
This ancient story carries a message that reaches across cultures. We all pass through periods of uncertainty, loss of direction, and separation from what feels most true within us. Diwali reminds us that it is possible to return to clarity, courage, dharma, and inner light.
In this special online gathering, Acharya Shunya will explore the spiritual meaning of Diwali through the Ramayana and the nondual wisdom of Advaita Vedanta. Through teaching, reflection, mantra, and guided practice, participants will contemplate the meaning of exile and return, the strength of Rama and Sita, and the light of consciousness that remains present even during difficult times.
In this online program, you will experience:
- Diwali celebration
- Mantras to cultivate resilience
- Heart-centered community practices
- Time for personal reflection
NOTE: This class is open to participants of all backgrounds. No previous knowledge of Hindu philosophy or Sanskrit is needed. Participants are invited to keep a candle or lamp nearby for the closing practice.
