Somatic Breathwork to Fuel Your Creative Spirit

Slow Down and Listen Within

Discover the transformational experience that arises when the body, breath, and creative spirit come into harmony. In this immersive weekend, join faculty Jon Orsini and Laura Thompson for a heartfelt exploration of somatic breathwork, intuitive art-making, and embodied self-inquiry designed to awaken the subconscious and reconnect you with your most authentic, alive self.

Breath is one of the most direct pathways for shifting our inner landscape and awakening our deeper wisdom. When combined with expressive arts it becomes a powerful catalyst for emotional release, insight, authenticity, and deep nervous system restoration. Creativity then becomes a language of the soul—allowing the colors, shapes, textures, and symbols of your inner world to reveal what words alone cannot express.

In the supportive and nourishing environment of Kripalu, this program invites you to slow down, listen within, and open to the healing wisdom and insight already living inside you. Through guided breath journeys, creative rituals, meditation, community sharing, and reflective journaling, you will explore the expansiveness and potency of your inner alchemy.

In this retreat, you will:

  • Experience somatic breathwork journeys that support emotional release, energetic flow, deeper self-awareness, and insight.
  • Explore expressive and intuitive art-making as a gateway to subconscious and archetypal wisdom.
  • Translate inner sensation, imagery, and intuition into color, symbol, and creative form for integration and understanding.
  • Engage in mindful reflection, insightful inquiry, and community connection for grounding and belonging.

Return home feeling more open, centered, and creatively renewed—equipped with accessible tools to continue your healing, expression, and inner connection long after the weekend ends.

Note: Somatic Breathwork can be an intensive personal growth modality. It is not a substitute for psychotherapy. It is not appropriate if you are pregnant, have cardiovascular problems including angina or heart attack, uncontrolled high blood pressure, glaucoma, retinal detachment, osteoporosis, a history of seizures, stroke, major psychiatric conditions, recent surgery, acute infectious illness, or epilepsy. If you have any doubt about whether you should participate, please consult your primary care physician. Persons with asthma should bring their inhaler and consult with their doctor.
