Bio
Andy Cahill is a community advocate, educator, and author who excels at creating experiences that inspire people to dream big and do their most creative work. With more than 15 years of experience working in the education and public service sectors, Andy has led and consulted on programs that have reached tens of thousands of students, from urban middle schools to elite graduate schools, helping them build resilience, deepen mindfulness, and activate their full creative potential. Andy is a certified yoga teacher who has been practicing meditation and mindful movement since 2007. His practice is steeped in a variety of disciplines, and his approach to teaching emphasizes patience, self-compassion, and a commitment to personal growth and discovery. Andy is well known for his vibrant capacity to bring the theory and practice of mindfulness to life. Andy is also a writer whose blog, “The Wonder Dome,” explores what it means to be human through the study of creativity, identity, and history. His first novel, Gradient, a science fiction epic, has been described by readers as “gripping,” “innovative,” and “wildly creative.” Andy earned a master’s degree in education from Harvard University in 2012. He lives in the Boston area with his wife and daughter.
