Angela began her spiritual healing as she was navigating life as a world traveling engineer in the 1990s. Using yoga and meditation to heal from stress, from surgeries, to mend relationships, and transform her life, Angela traveled to India to study the land and energy anatomy, along with devotional and historical practices. Inspired by these practices, Angela (Dharma) became a practicing Ayurvedic Health and Wellness Coach with training from the Ayurvedic Health Institute and Dancing Shiva School of Yoga and Ayurveda.
Connecting the land and outdoors with BIPOC families has become a realized vision for Angela (Dharma) as a yoga practice. In 2017–2018 she became an Outdoor Lead and Guide in the state of Arizona. She partnered and led camping trips to Canyon Lake, Verde River, and the Grand Canyon with the Sierra Club and the National organization, Outdoor Afro. With Outdoor Afro she also led a family photography class at Yosemite and a river rafting camp at the Verde River in 2018.
