Angell Deer is a mystic, medicine man, teacher, permaculturist, beekeeper, international speaker, and lover of all forms of life. He has dedicated his life to remembering, learning, and teaching ancient wisdom through the lineages of Andean Cosmology and Norse Shamanism. His passion is to weave words and stories, people and places, darkness and light, wounds and love, ancient and modern times.

Trained as a veterinarian, medicine man, breathwork practitioner, Reiki Master, meditation teacher, herbalist, and more, Angell is also an ordained minister and licensed wellness professional. He is the founder of the New York Bee Sanctuary, a national nonprofit advocating for the preservation of bees and pollinators, and The Sanctuary, a shamanic healing center in Callicoon, New York, on the land of the Sacred White Deer.

In 2025, Angell and his family relocated to La Ferme du Cerf Bleu in Burgundy, France, an 18th-century farm and sanctuary where they are rewilding 20 acres of ancestral land with orchards, oak groves, bees, animals, and community healing spaces. The project continues his lifelong dedication to land stewardship, ceremony, and the weaving of ancient wisdom into modern life.

Angell was an advisor to the United Nations Population Fund for five years and has spoken in front of global audiences at Harvard Business School and Parsons School of Design. He was nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young, awarded a NYC Venture Fellow by former Mayor Mike Bloomberg, and recognized as an Earth Rockstar at the Global Concert for Earth in 2022.
