She is a writer and teacher who explores the complex relationships between food systems, the environment, the economy, culture, and human health. She has cultivated long-standing relationships with farmers and fishermen. She emphasizes the importance of supporting small farming communities and using sustainable and organic ingredients through her writing and teaching.
