Lisa Marchiano, LSCW, is a Jungian analyst and the author of Motherhood: Facing and Finding Yourself, The Vital Spark: Reclaim Your Outlaw Energies and Find Your Feminine Fire, and the forthcoming The Dreamwork Deck: 63 Jungian Keys to Unlock the Meaning of Your Dreams. She is the coauthor of Dream Wise: Unlocking the Meaning of Your Dreams. She has a monthly depth psychology blog at Psychology Today, and her Substack Café Jung offers monthly interviews and weekly insight. She is the cohost of the popular depth psychology podcast This Jungian Life, which has a monthly audience of 250,000 and has had over 30 million downloads.
Lisa is on the faculty of the C. G. Jung Institute of Philadelphia, where she teaches and supervises analytic training candidates. She is the co-creator of Dream School, an online program that teaches people how to work with their dreams, and she offers a monthly dream seminar for participants. Lisa has lectured widely both in the U.S. and abroad, and hosts popular women’s retreats.
Lisa received her B.A. from Brown University and holds a master's degree in international affairs from Columbia University. She also has a master's in social work from New York University. She trained to be a Jungian analyst with the Interregional Society of Jungian Analysts. She is currently a doctoral candidate at the Boston Graduate School for Psychoanalysis.
