Kevin Foran

Kevin “Moose” Foran, Kripalu's former Grounds Supervisor, was born on the day now celebrated as Earth Day. He has spent his life working in partnership with nature and currently sits on the Stockbridge Bowl Association as a representative for Kripalu. A graduate of Berkshire County’s first Master Gardener class, Moose spent 35 years managing Kripalu’s historical grounds, formerly owned by Anson Phelps Stokes, Andrew Carnegie, and the Jesuits, and originally cared for by the Stockbridge Munsee Band of Mohicans. Moose has been a pillar of the Kripalu community since its inception, and works to merge human nature with Mother Nature, joining inner and outer landscapes on a mat called yoga. Viewing the whole earth as one altar, Moose sees every day as Earth Day.
