The Synchronicity of Numbers
There are 1,440 minutes in a day—so why is it that you happen to glance at the clock at 1:11 nearly every afternoon, or grab your phone in the middle of the night and notice you’ve woken up at precisely 3:33 pm, again! Is it just a coincidence, or are there hidden messages in those digits? It’s not just clocks—I’ve experienced the synchronicity of numbers with license plates, dates, addresses, and phone numbers.
In today’s world, numbers are everywhere, so it makes sense that our angels and spirit guides use them as tools to communicate with us.
There are some numbers that I feel have special, personal significance. When I come across them, it’s a sure sign that the universe has something in store for me, and I make sure to pay attention.
The number 17, for example, is a super-high vibration number that’s always brought me good fortune and luck. The number 11—what I call my manifestation number—reminds me that thoughts are things, and the universe is working to make my dreams a reality.
Coincidence? I think not.
As you go about your day, be aware that your spirit guides and angels are using subtle ways to communicate with you. They can’t call or send you a text message, but they can draw your attention to numbers that have a clear meaning. My students often ask how to tell the difference between happenstance/wishful thinking, and signs from Spirit. The answer is simple. First, be open to receiving signs from your guides. Then when faced with what you think might be a message, try the following:
- Be mindful of patterns.
- Listen to your intuition.
Apply these two simple rules every day, and practice setting your intention to receive divine signs and guidance.
I’m seeing patterns—but what do they mean?
Decoding numeric signs isn’t black and white. We all have our personal experiences that make numbers stand out to us. You might see your mother’s birthday and feel her presence, or spot your high school graduation date and know that change and progress is in the works. That being said, there are some commonly understood associations with certain numbers—especially when they come from your angels and guides. The more repeating numbers in a string, the more powerful the message.

A sign of progress and moving forward, this combination means that one phase of your life is ending, and you should enjoy the fruits of your labor as you prepare to begin the next part of your journey.

Signaling completion, 999 can mean that you have completed a major milestone or that it’s time to focus on finishing what you’ve started—your book, your education, any major goal.

A reminder you are one with the Universe. Also, it is a sign that a situation has come full circle.
