Living Softly
How to accomplish more by doing less
Discover the Power of Softness
Many of us were taught that accomplishing what matters requires pushing harder, trying harder, and holding ourselves together through force. Over time, this way of moving through life can leave us exhausted, disconnected from ourselves, and far away from our actual potential. This retreat is an invitation to explore another way.
Join Tara Stiles for an immersive program of movement, breath, reflection, and connection designed to help you experience softness as a practical tool for everyday life. Through Tara's unique approach to yoga and tai chi, we'll explore how moving with less tension can help us feel more connected, adaptable, creative, and capable—in our bodies and in our lives.
In this retreat, you will experience:
- Energizing morning practices to wake up the body, connect with your breath, and move from your center
- Gentle afternoon practices to release tension, restore ease, and create space to notice how you feel
- Workshops and guided explorations inspired by the ideas in Tara's book Living Softly, discovering how softness can change the way you approach challenges, relationships, work, creativity, and yourself
- Restful evening practices design to help you slow down, connect, reflect
- Compassionate community activities
This weekend isn't about escaping your life or becoming a calmer, more perfect version of yourself. It's about learning to meet your life with more of yourself available. Softness isn't giving up. It's how we become adaptable, resilient, and truly powerful.
NOTE: Come as you are. No previous yoga or tai chi experience is needed.
