Post-Treatment Life
A retreat for cancer survivors and thrivers
A Supportive and Compassionate Space
Many cancer survivors feel immense relief and gratitude when treatment ends. Yet the physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges that often follow can linger for months or even years, quietly affecting quality of life and long-term health. This retreat offers a supportive and compassionate space to explore what comes next.
Integrative medicine practitioner, cancer survivor, and author Amy Rothenberg joins forces with Kripalu faculty Ilana Beigel to offer evidence-based insights and practice-tested approaches to support healing beyond treatment. Through education, reflection, movement, and contemplative practices, you will learn practical tools to care for your body, address lingering symptoms of cancer and its treatments, calm the mind, and restore vitality.
In this program, you will:
- Understand evidence-informed approaches that can improve both quality of life and long-term health outcomes during cancer survivorship.
- Develop greater resilience and confidence in the body's innate capacity for healing through lifestyle practices and integrative medicine approaches.
- Experience how yoga and mindfulness practices can help process the physical and emotional impact of cancer treatment, regulate the nervous system, restore a sense of safety in the body, and reconnect with vitality, meaning, and inner steadiness.
- Explore integrative and natural medicine strategies that may help address common post-treatment challenges, including fatigue, brain fog, lymphedema, peripheral neuropathy, and changes in intimacy and sexual wellbeing.
- Learn practical ways to cultivate an internal environment that supports resilience and long-term well-being through nutrition, stress reduction, movement, rest, and restorative practices.
