Care For Your Grief in Loving Community

Grief is a threshold. Something has changed, ended, died, or become impossible to return to in the way you once knew it. Join grieftenders AmarAtma Singh Khalsa, Reggie Hubbard, and Akilah S. Richards for a weekend of embodied practice, sound and meditation, storytelling, ritual, and healing in community.

In this retreat, you will:

  • Recognize grief connected to death, change, identity, relationships, collective loss, and other meaningful endings.
  • Use story, somatics, and sound in combination with movement, breath and simple ritual to move through your grief with insights that invite relief and a shift in perspective.
  • Witness and be witnessed in loving community as you are, without pretense or expectations.
  • Develop grieftending practices you can return to at home and in the course of your life.

In this gathering, you might find yourself noticing where grief sits in your body and giving it movement, breath, or space. You might sit still while the sound of a singing bowl fills the room, or hold an object connected to someone or something you miss. You might hear someone tell a story that gently nudges you closer to your own truth or reminds you that you’re not alone in your grief. You might be surprised to find laughter here, too.

Leave with a deeper trust in your capacity to be with grief and a sense of relief from having given yourself space to tend and mend what you've been carrying.
