He has been the director of Karme Choling Meditation Center in Vermont; director of Buddhist Studies and Practice at OM Yoga Center in New York; and director of the Dharmadhatu Meditation Center in Los Angeles. He currently leads workshops and teacher training programs around the world and mentors students in person and online. A four-time Emmy winner and two-time Grammy nominee, David wrote the classic hit “Midnight at the Oasis.” A highly regarded composer, producer, and guitarist, he has played/recorded with greats such as Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Christopher Guest, Jerry Garcia, and Krishna Das.
